Centered on the profound virtues of compassion and human dignity, this painting illustrates the divine act of healing. Christ gently cradles the heavily bandaged, wounded arms of a leper, defying societal boundaries to offer restoration. The background walls are inscribed with Latin words like “DIVINUM DARE” (To give is divine) and “HUMANUM ACCIPERE” (To receive is human), emphasizing the sacred exchange of love, empathy, and grace that occurs in moments of true charity.
