A captivating reimagining of one of art history’s most iconic moments. Set in warm, earthy tones, the painting captures the exact moment of tension following Christ’s declaration: “One of you will betray me.” The walls are explicitly inscribed with the floating questions of the anxious disciples—“What?”, “Is it I?”, and “Who?”—while the foreground features a beautifully rendered still life of grapes and bread, drawing focus to the institution of the Eucharist amidst human doubt.

This painting is part of the acclaimed Christological cycle from the “Holy Canvas” exhibition by academic painter Nina Bajrić Blažeković.
